To do...

With time steadily and rapidly disappearing, the long list of things we still need to do doesn't seem to be getting much shorter.  We need to pack our things and move it all out of Ben's place,  pack our bags for the trip, eat about a dozen different meals to say goodbye to our friends and family, plus a thousand others things like those.

We have managed to cross a few things off the list though, which is gratifying.  We have our passports with the necessary visas, we have foreign currency sorted, we've offloaded our cars while we're gone, had our final stay at Bruny for the next 5 months, and completed stage 2 of the brick pizza oven with Jez and some helpers!  It went something like this:

For the record, they tasted great!  (It didn't really have anything to do with our trip but I'm proud of it, so...)

With only 9 days left it's starting to get real....

For those who have signed up, just a little post to whet your appetites...

There are currently 21 days remaining until we leave the country, 7 things left to do on my 'to do list' and 1 'what to bring' list to write. I like to write lists.

In preparation for the trip I am currently lying on the couch with the flu and a bung knee, so all in all things are looking up.

For those who are interested: After our 3 week church building session in Sudan we're planning on landing in Amsterdam, travelling through Belgium (and its breweries), getting to England (seeing some family there) then after that, in no set order, travelling through France, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Czech Republic and Germany. Were hoping to top the whole trip off in Munich at Oktoberfest with some more friends...

from my couch (well Ben's couch) in Snug, Tasmania,
